Review:
I finally got to see this movie in theaters bargain here in El Paso Labor Day. Initially I thought we had a lot about the film, but the time spent had the usual rooms here in the city and realize that you'd want to go see Id. I remember having heard several critical blow out like a horrible movie and I wanted to try. I am very happy to finally saw this movie movie.This not the usual Clash of the Titans / Jason and the Argonauts films where the gods are constantly displayed and presented as more important and powerful than humble people. In fact, this movie completely ignores the so-called gods, and instead put the focus where it belongs - on the soldiers themselves. I studied the Iliad, as well as other stories surrounding the mythical Trojan War from my days as a nerd school mitoloxíae obsessed with Dungeons & Dragons. Rather than being aimed at the audience for this film demystifies the Trojan War, and treat it in a way that could actually be happening. We see that older people who constantly refer to their so-called gods come across as crazy. One of these lines are when Hector (Eric Bana) refers to the fact that Apollo did not strike Achilles (Brad Pitt) to desecrate the statue. It is very revealing that Hector seems to doubt the gods taught worship.I he was a critic of life of Brad Pitt as a second level of talent who became famous just because of their appearance, but this movie surprised me. He is the real protagonist of the film. Achilles is easily the most interesting character and fun. I applaud Brad Pitts effort to make your character a tragic hero. Achilles acknowledges that he is not the son of God is not immortal and invulnerable. The movie basically shows how fame can blossom into a legend himself. Achilles legend becomes immortal. He himself refers to it in my favorite scene when he inspired his men and begins the invasion heavily outnumbered and still win. Later in the same scene should challenge the so-called gods, the Greeks and Trojans worship behead the statue. I found this scene symbolic of the film itself. The gods are not to both characters and audience.Instead of supernatural powers and impossible events were treated with realism. Even the death of Achilles is more realistic than the myth. In Paris myth does kill Achilles with an arrow, but why not have combat skills your arm is actually run by Apollo.If was one thing I did not like this film was the transformation of Paris ,'s a hero. Paris was a coward in the original myth, and I did not see any reason to turn it on overnight hero in the film. I think Orlando Bloom fans would not be able to afford seeing as the bad guy, and was given the transformation uninspired Paris a good archer Robin Hood.While that this movie was not even close epic masterpiece that producers hoped or as it was announced, not worth the bad publicity received by critics. I applaud the producers of the film and look forward to buying it on DVD.
