Review:
Sandy Patterson (Jason Bateman) finds that his identity has been stolen Diana (Melissa McCarthy) and went to where he was in Florida to bring him to justice, and to get life back. Promo made me once again. They are fun, and the only funny thing in this comedy. When I saw the name Melissa McCarthy, I was dreading spewing out of foul and obscene language in 3 minutes without breathing. He is shtick earlier films I've seen him, but, surprisingly, never happened, thanks to God. Diana is the essence of the main character, and Sandy just going along for the ride trying to get his life back. Diana is a stupid things, stupid, but mandatory Hollywood comedy is a must and we viewers cringe a lot. So much comedy. This can be a good and fun, but stupid things, stupid and must trump everything else that can be used no matter how good they are. So much for any creativity. We get the same thing over and over again, and then condemned. After a while, it becomes boring, bland, and why do we watch? To be fair, Jason Bateman is not a good time and some of his actions to inject humor in this. I wish someone would come up with a script that hi-lites Batemans talent and not just treat her like 5 wheels. (Hey, maybe it is his pick is weak, there is a lot of fun script.) Hmmm?
