Review:
When mom hit theaters in 1999, critics have it all seriously as a poor man's Indiana Jones. Although both films are about as similar as Dr No gold (thankfully), it is obvious comparisons between one seamless adventure film and other unavoidable. In the end, what really matters is to determine the level of quality films can be fun. And if there's one good thing that mom works, it's fun. Brendan Fraser, Rachel Veisz, and Arnold Vosloo very well chosen for their mother roles.The patterns can easily be seen as another series churned out to satiate the greedy money-machine that Hollywood has become, but a few things for it. One thing that is immediately obvious is that the sequel should be a movie that can be enjoyed without ever seeing the original. The only references to the previous films to fill the gaps Imhotep story of who he is, and why this is so. Appendix: The Scorpion King is an interesting attempt to give a new antagonist of the film, but the lack of screentime work well in a party tangent. Tangent else that could be better developed in competition Imhoteps love and whatever it is called. Imhotep original character Rachel mistakenly Veiszs reincarnated as his girlfriend, and the use of a woman who looks like that when you create a new tangent to develop a differentli.Most people will not care for rabbits complicated story and will want to know if this movie is fun. And it's interesting, really. There is hardly a dull moment in the run up to major films, Oded Fehr and do a bang-up job of providing a hero Mad-Max-cum-Indiana-Jones. I want to know where the costumes and Groovy those tattoos, they look nice. Anyway, when all is said and done, this movie is eight out of ten. Some poorly constructed story details here and there, but there are some very entertaining action sequences make up for them. Do not listen to nai-Sayers. This material matinee-style (almost) the best. Get the DVD when it comes out, it will at least tide you over until George Lucas his head out of his proverbial and realize that the time is well and truly over VHS.
