See the other night at the NYFF. Wow. It is an amazing film, a real performance film, perhaps a classic and it may be the first 3D film to break into and win the Oscar for best film. Some of these images are so beautiful that the audience gasp at many of them. I felt transported and I saw a movie for the first time. I havent felt that kind of magic in a theater in a long, long time.I have read and loved the book and the movie can even improve on what is a kind of a miracle considering its children, animals and water just on all the time. The terms are simple and spiritual bottomless pit and raise more questions about faith and religion as the answer. No sermon here and there. Without giving anything away, it has a wonderful story about storytelling and how we tell stories we find most horrific life experiences and help the consequences them.Its an amazing movie experience. Go see it!
